Alexa Ranking
A method used for determining traffic activities of a website.

CPM
This indicates the Cost Per Thousand page impressions. (The “M” represents 1000 in Roman Numeral).
Click Through Rate (CTR)
It’s a method for determining the success rate of an internet advertising campaign. Click Through Rate is calculated by dividing the number of advertisements that has been clicked with the number of HTML page that has been downloaded.

Domain Taster
A practice that allow domainers to register domain names for a short period of time to determine the its potential for generating money while parked. A grace period of a couple days will allow domain to keep or drop the names. If the individual decided to keep the domain name, they will have to pay the annual registration fee. However, if the individual decided to drop the name he or she must pay a small fee for not registering the name.
Dropped Names
These are domain names that have been intentionally or unintentionally dropped by the owners. Domain owners drop domain names simply because they no longer have use for it. Other owners however forget to pay their annual registration fees and therefore they loose ownership of the domain.

Portfolio
Portfolio simply refers to entire collections of domain names that an individual have. Some domainers have ten domains while other have hundreds or even thousands of domain names. The drawback of having too many domains is keeping track to of all of them. In addition keeping up with the annual fees can be problematic when one has to pay an average of $9 for renewal fee per name.

These consists of alphabet letters that makes up the domain and are considered more valuable than none premium letters.

A method that allow domain owners to keep most of their contact information hidden from the public to prevent unnecessary solicitation.
